Superhero El Nacho Libre El Santa Claus joins the revelers on the New Year’s Eve Party Bus
Baby New Year and Father Time agree that riding in the New Year’s Eve Party Bus will bring you good luck in the New Year! If you didn’t ride the NYEPB, your only hope now, is to start consuming large amounts of black-eyed peas; and putting a reminder on your calendar to ride the bus next New Year’s Eve! For those riding the 2009/2010 bus, it was a fantastic journey, indeed! They shuttled between four popular bars along the Highway 108 corridor! They had a blast – and spoke freely! El Nacho Libre El Santa Claus (pictured) had some advice for the New Year! “Be good for goodness sake!” he urged. “I don’t think the world’s going to end (in 2012), but if it does, live life every day with as much enjoyment and greatness as you can; as if every day was your last!” When asked “Why the outfit?” El Nacho replied, “People used to dress up and use New Years as a second Halloween! It was like a costume ball!
They boogied into the New Year at Diamond Jim’s in Mi Wuk Village! Music was provided by Tim Fay’s Touch the Stove Productions, and his incredible music machine!
Bus riders were also prognosticating. “I’m going to get a job!” Jill Billeci (of Sonora) predicted. “….hopefully, at a new retail establishment that comes in! I used to work at Gottschalks as assistant store manager.” Resolutions were also being made! “I hope to quit smoking in the New Year” revealed Ellen Heald of Mi Wuk Village. “I’ve wanted to do it for a long time and I think this is the year to do it!” (A plethora of predictions were made; many unprintable.)
