The “Icicle House”, home of Jan and Robert “Spider” Cantley of Twain Harte, is a must see for those looking for holiday decorated homes. “It is truly unique,” said Spider. The house is located at 18391 Muir Avenue and Black Oak Drive in Twain Harte and will be lit-up from sunset until 9:30 p.m. Photo by the Cantley’s

Indeed! Numerous Christmas parades have taken place – including the first one ever in Copperopolis! Snow is falling heavy, and early! Recent low temperatures seem to mimic those of the North Pole! The captivating sounds of Christmas carols are heard over the outdoor speakers at the Junction Shopping Center and other shopping venues! Children drag their parents to a “meet and greet” with Santa in Courthouse Park! The beautiful and animated window paintings around the town captivate the shoppers, (visitors and residents alike)! People are smiling a bit more. Yes, it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!  2009_11-18_00.JPG

“Merry Christmas” from some very famous people! From left to right are: Mark Twain (aka Michael McCaffrey), Carson Dieteker (an SMT “newsie,” or paperboy), Dorothy Edwards (Twain Harte’s Goodwill Ambassador) and Jaden McCaffrey (“newsie #2”). They wish you Christmas cheer from the Twain Harte Business Association’s float, in the recent Twain Harte Christmas Parade! Photo by Greg Kristapovich.

Just a small portion of the Incredible Christmas lights display and tour at the Kutch’s Family Farm, at 10833 Golf Links Road in Jamestown! It ranks as one of the most elaborate Christmas lights displays in the Mother Lode! The walk-through exhibit is free, and open nightly (weather permitting) from 6 until 11 p.m. through the holidays!
