SOROPTIMIST INSTALLS NEW OFFICERS
On Tuesday, June 16, Soroptimist of Twain Harte held an Installation Luncheon at The Rock of Twain Harte. The installed officers are: President, Patt Koral; President Elect, Barbara Kerr; Vice President, Jan Wix; Treasurer; Jan Moncrieff; Assistant Treasurer, Linda Gerths; Recording Secretary, Judy Carlson; Corr. Secretary, Sandra Martin; Director, Sandy Asquith; Director, Judy Podesta. Several awards were also presented. The President’s Award went to Elena Linehan and the Member’s Award went to Diane Dunigan. A very special one-time award was presented to Willy and Chuck Evans for many years of service to the community. Soroptimist of Twain Harte meets on Tuesdays at noon at in the “Back Room” of The Rock of Twain Harte. Soroptimist means “Best for Women” and, to that end, the club focuses its major efforts on community projects that serve to improve the lives of women and girls.
